Over 5,000 Filipino gamers were immersed in interactive zones where they experienced first-hand the device's industry-leading 120FPS gameplay and futuristic light-strip design during TECNO Philippines' August 9–10 "POVA Gaming Fiesta," which completely changed SM Fairview into a gamer's paradise and drew record crowds for the explosive launch of the POVA 7 Ultra 5G.
Philippines’ First Triple-crown Esports Phone Redefines Competitive Edge
By obtaining an unparalleled trifecta of esport endorsements, the POVA 7 Ultra 5G immediately met the needs of Filipino players who want tournament-level dependability. A crucial benefit confirmed by the PMCL Commissioner's live demonstration at the event, the recently released Official Device for PUBG Mobile Challenger Leagues SEA(PMCL) 2025 ensures frame rate consistency during high-stakes professional matches. Concurrently, the Philippine National Esports Team (SIBOL) and TECNO established a long-term partnership as Exclusive Gaming Partners. The POVA 7 Ultra 5G was named the official gaming phone for SIBOL athletes competing in the SEA Games and Global Esports Championships.
Dito Partnership Eradicates Gaming Data Barriers
In a game-changing move for cost-conscious Filipino gamers, TECNO partnered with DITO, the country’s fastest-growing mobile network, to launch the industry-first "TECNO x DITO x PUBG Mobile Prepaid Gaming SIM." in the event. DITO’s brand ambassadors PPOP sensation ALAMAT brought down the house with a surprise performance, announcing the customised SIM releasing.
Together, TECNO, PUBG Mobile, and DITO Mobile have formed the "Perfect Gaming Squad," which gives Filipino mobile players a competitive advantage. In addition to a DITO Prepaid Gaming SIM, which Opensignal has identified as the Philippines' fastest network, the package includes the TECNO POVA 7 Ultra 5G, the official PUBG Mobile smartphone. DITO guarantees a better gaming experience with less lag and quick loading times. In addition to receiving the special DITO Prepaid Gaming SIM, subscribers who also subscribe to specific DITO Level Up promotions are granted unrestricted access to PUBG Mobile. At a reasonable cost, this potent partnership offers unparalleled performance and a top-notch gaming experience.
POVA Chief Gaming Officer Myrtle Sarrosa Bridges Gaming-Cosplay Divide
Retaining multihyphenate icon Myrtle Sarrosa (cosplayer, actor, and gaming queen) as POVA Chief Gaming Officer further solidified TECNO's cultural prominence. Her new role will solidify hardcore gaming credentials while expanding TECNO's reach into the rapidly growing cosplay scene in the Philippines. As a visual representation of how the phone combines performance and individual expression, Myrtle wears the newest PUBGM skin, Spectral Byte, with light-strip flares on her clothing and weapon during the offline appearance. She proclaimed, "POVA 7 Ultra 5G isn’t just a tool, it’s your battle jewelry," exhibiting the designs and light effects of the device that Gen Z attendees enthusiastically praised.
