Consumers are encouraged to visit the Grand Reunion post on McDonald's Philippines' Facebook page and tell their story about why they want to reunite, what kept them apart, and what makes their relationship worthwhile.  McDonald's will host groups of up to ten people on December 8 from 2-4 p.m., with two groups per party room for a total of 20 people.

Manila Water, Antipolo LGU inaugurate Hinulugang Taktak STP

Hinulugang Taktak STP is part of Manila Water’s ₱2.2-billion sewerage project. With a capacity of 16 million liters per day, it helps protect the Upper Marikina River Basin and supports the rehabilitation of the iconic falls.

On November 17, 2025, Manila Water Company formally opened the Hinulugang Taktak Sewage Treatment Plant (HT STP), reaffirming its dedication to sustainable wastewater management and environmental preservation in Rizal Province.

Important government representatives and partners, including DENR Undersecretary Joselin Fragada, Rizal Governor Nina Ricci Ynares-Chiongbian, Antipolo City Mayor Casimiro "Jun" Ynares III, and Vice Mayor Randy Puno Jr., attended the ceremony at the STP site in Antipolo City.

Representatives from the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), including Chairperson Elpidio J. Vega, Administrator Leonor "Bobby" Cleofas, Chief Regulator Patrick Lester N. Ty of the MWSS Regulatory Office, and their respective teams, were also in attendance.

Manila Water strengthens water security and climate resilience with full stewardship of Upper Wawa Dam

East Zone concessionaire Manila Water has reinforced its commitment to delivering 24/7 water supply across its service area through the official takeover of operations of the Upper Wawa Dam, following the successful acquisition of WawaJVCo.

Following the successful acquisition of WawaJVCo, East Zone concessionaire Manila Water formally assumed control of Upper Wawa Dam operations, reaffirming its commitment to providing a 24-hour water supply across its service region.

With the completion of the turnover in October, WawaJVCo personnel were formally welcomed into the Manila Water family, signifying the official transfer of operations from Prime Infra to Manila Water.  By consolidating the Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project under Manila Water's supervision, this calculated action guarantees increased operational effectiveness and long-term water security for its clients.

Along with current facilities like the Wawa-Calawis Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Antipolo City, Cardona WTP in Rizal, and East Bay WTP, which both take water from Laguna Lake, the acquisition supports Manila Water's continuous attempts to diversify and secure alternate water supplies.

The Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project, the biggest water source development since 1967, will help over 700,000 homes, or around 3.5 million Filipinos, in the MWSS concession area by delivering up to 710 million liters per day (MLD).

Beyond water security, Manila Water's dedication to climate resilience is shown in the Upper Wawa Dam, which safeguards not only its infrastructure but also—and perhaps more significantly—the communities it serves.  The dam, which was built mainly as a source of water, has proven to be an essential flood mitigation tool. Government organizations have frequently mentioned the dam's role in preventing floods in Rizal and Marikina's susceptible districts by collecting and storing extra rainfall.

By regulating water outflow and reducing flow from 2,100 m³/s to 200 m³/s, the Upper Wawa Dam considerably lessened the downstream flood damage in Rizal and Metro Manila during Super Typhoon Carina in 2024.  Due to intense rainfall, the 450-hectare reservoir—which can hold up to 120 million cubic meters of water—nearly filled in two days, holding more than 90 million cubic meters.  President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Governor Nina Ynares of Rizal were among the government authorities who praised the dam for averting serious harm.

Marikina 2nd District Representative Miro Quimbo gave appreciation to the Upper Wawa Dam for lessening flooding in Marikina City during Typhoon Crising during a press conference held in August of this year.  Quimbo claims that the impact of the tropical cyclone was greatly reduced because more than 51% of the floodwater was collected by the dam's reservoir rather than entering Marikina.

Beginning on October 29, 2025, the Honey Mustard McSpicy will be a limited-time item at all McDonald's restaurants nationwide.  It is offered in addition to the original version for delivery, drive-thru, takeout, and dine-in, either alone or as a meal with fries and a drink.

McDonald's builds on the excitement today by introducing the Honey Mustard McSpicy, which gives fans not just a resurgence but also an improvement on the iconic burger.

McSpicy Hall of Flame

The introduction of the new Honey Mustard McSpicy and the return of the legendary McSpicy are McDonald’s Philippines’ ways of celebrating their customers. And to further reward their loyalty to the McSpicy, McDonald’s inducted five of the most loyal die-hard fans to the McSpicy Hall of Flame, “a (digital) wall of legends for the ultimate McSpicy fans...where the boldest, hottest, most loyal fans get their spot in McDonald’s history.” First batch of awardees include Jae Acosta (dubbed “Day One Devotee”), Kaye Lantoria (dubbed “Lunch Break Loyalist”), Joyce Avelino (dubbed “Faithful McSpicy Seeker”), Migi Rivera (dubbed “Consistent Commitment King”), and Joanne So (dubbed “Enlightened Spice Convert”).

McDonald’s also organized the McSpicy Challenge in some of its branches in Quezon City. Fans competed to eat a McSpicy Sandwich in record time without any drinks. Dubbed “Speedy Spice Slayers,” these fans were also inducted in the McSpicy Hall of Flamers: Christian Castillo (45 seconds), Joey Basbas (45 seconds), Mark Desamito, Jr. (1 minute 7 seconds), Khen Maichele Mendoza (1 minute 9 seconds), Mark Abulo (2 minutes 3 seconds), and content creator Papi Louie (2 minutes 6 seconds).

BingoPlus sets the stage ablaze with the ultimate music fest to unite sports and entertainment

Beyond golf and entertainment, the International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus, empowered Philippine sports and athletes.

With the conclusion of the largest music festival of the year, "Swing for Filipino Sports Dream," sponsored by International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus, at the ASEANA City Open Grounds on October 25, 2025, the nation's top digital entertainment platform is back at it again.

Massive and explosive energy was generated by the festival's stellar lineup, as both local and international icons energized the audience.  The event's atmosphere was elevated to new heights by the appearance of Norwegian DJ Alan Walker and Filipino icon Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas.

Bamboo, Parokya ni Edgar, Urbandub, Lily (formerly known as Callalily), Sandwich, and more were added to the schedule. EDM musicians DJ Kiara, Arthur Tan, Hoest, and others also performed amazing performances. The event was made much more memorable by the magnificent stage design, amazing fireworks, and dynamic lighting.

At the music festival press conference, invited media also had the chance to interview the featured artists.  The International Series was brought to the nation in large part thanks to BingoPlus, for which the guest performers were grateful. Additionally, they expressed how thrilled they were to be performing at such a distinguished occasion.

The event's contribution handover was another highlight, as the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) received eight million pesos (₱8,000,000) from International Series Philippines, BingoPlus, and its social development arm, the BingoPlus Foundation.  This program advances the organization's goal of empowering local sports and promoting Filipino talent and expertise to a global audience.
