HUAWEI and RUNRIO Rally Runners to Embrace Smarter, Healthier Lifestyles with ‘Active Rings: Enjoy Your Moment’ Community Run at SM MOA



With the help of running events organizer RUNRIO, Huawei organized a community run event, demonstrating its continued support of smart fitness.  Last June 28, the community-run event took place at the imposing SM Mall of Asia Complex. a component of the "Active Rings: Enjoy Your Moment" campaign by Huawei.

The community run brought together members of the run club as well as members of the Huawei Wearable community, who welcomed a morning of motivation and movement.  HUAWEI's "Active Rings: Enjoy the Moment" campaign, which aims to inspire communities to lead healthier and more active lives, includes the Manila community run.  The most recent in a series of international fitness competitions held in various places across the world was the Manila event.

For many, the initiative’s message resonated beyond physical activity. Lara Beriña, Engineer and Avid Runner Commended the initiative.

“‘Active Rings’ is such a smart and timely campaign. As an engineer, I’m obsessed with numbers and metrics, but this reminded me to be present and enjoy the journey. It wasn’t just about hitting goals—it was about celebrating the effort, the community, and the joy of movement. I’ve always been a classic watch kind of person. Throughout the run, participants worked toward achieving their goals and closing each activity ring on the HUAWEI wearable devices. According to regular runner Addy Alajar, this made the run more fun and challenging.

By the time they reached the finish line, most runners were able to close each of their activity rings, which added a sense of accomplishment to their experience.

The top three male and female finishers after the competitors have calmed down.  With a time of 24 minutes and 31 seconds, Arielle Chantal Guado took first place in the women's division.  After running 26 minutes and 19 seconds, Trisha Cruz finished in second place.  Hannah Dacanay finished in third place, just behind her, at 27 minutes and 40 seconds.

In the men's division, Francis Geoffrey Ramos Parreñas finished first with a time of 21 minutes and 32 seconds.  John Mark Calves finished in second place with a mere 13 seconds separating them at 21 minutes and 45 seconds.  At 21 minutes and 53 seconds, Josh Campos was just 9 seconds behind.

The first place finishers for both categories took home a HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro, while the second place finishers were awarded with a HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4. Third place finishers received a HUAWEI FreeArc.

The evening had a vibrant program that skillfully combined fashion and music, in addition to the technical introduction.  FuMi, a Japanese influencer and artist, energised the audience with a captivating performance to kick off the festivities.

The soulful alt-R&B style of Syd Hartha, who came after him, produced a more reflective atmosphere with songs like "Damdamin" and "Tila-tala."  Her performance was accompanied by the first fashion section, which featured a relaxed, indie-inspired collection that mirrored her expressive, easygoing attitude.

Later on in the show, Barbie Almalbis sang well-known OPM songs like "When I Met You" and "Overdrive."  Her performance set the tone for a fashion section that featured vintage silhouettes, bold prints, and throwback denim, all of which were influenced by early 2000s alt-pop bands.  It served as a reminder that sound and style can work well together for all ages.

AirAsia Philippines deepens stakeholder ties in Eastern Visayas (Tacloban)



The Provincial Government of Leyte and AirAsia Philippines reaffirmed their long-standing commitment to democratizing air travel, guaranteeing connectivity, and promoting tourism and economic development in the Eastern Visayas Region.

How to Boost Your Immune System Through Nutrition



People typically think about their immune system's function in fending off infections or colds.  On the other hand, nutrition and the immune system are directly related.

Manila Water advances to 384th spot in the 2025 Fortune Southeast Asia 500

For the second consecutive year, East Zone water concessionaire Manila Water has earned a spot on the prestigious Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list—this time with an even stronger standing. In the 2025 edition, Manila Water climbed to 384th place, a notable improvement from its 435th rank in 2024, reflecting the Company’s continued growth and operational excellence.


Manila Water, a water concessionaire in the East Zone, has secured a place in the esteemed Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list for the second year in a row, but at an even higher ranking this time.

Manila Water's continuing expansion and operational competence are shown in its rise to 384th place in the 2025 edition, a significant improvement from its 435th position in 2024.

The Fortune Southeast Asia 500 lists the best-performing businesses from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines that make at least $349.4 million annually.  The 2025 list companies collectively made $1.82 trillion in 2024, up from $1.79 trillion the year before.

Kathryn Bernardo reveals the trusted partner that keeps her ganado on busy days

[Kung] kailangan mo yung tamang timpla, I think yung brand na Great Taste White mabibigay yun sa lahat ng consumers natin. More than anything, I think, bigyan lang ng chance, subukan. Folk Performances, Job Fair Take Center Stage at SM CAMANAVA Malls Independence Day Tribute



As SM City Grand Central, SM Center Sangandaan, and SM City Valenzuela presented a patriotic homage to the 126th Philippine Independence Day, fusing culture and community empowerment in this year's celebrations, the spirit of freedom came alive in Northern Metro Manila.


SM City Grand Central’s Kalayaan Job Fair featured 51 companies offering 3,563 jobs, local and abroad.


To begin the day's celebrations, hundreds of mall workers, renters, and community members assembled at SM City Grand Central and SM Center Sangandaan for solemn flag-raising ceremonies.  Following the festivities, there were cultural exhibits honoring Filipino heritage.  Folk dances like Binasuan and Sayaw sa Bangko attracted devoted audiences at SM City Grand Central.  Students and artists at SM Center Sangandaan gave a powerful Sabayang Bigkas that echoed the themes of bravery and patriotism.

In addition to honoring the past, SM City Grand Central's Independence Day celebration helped job seekers look to the future.  A significant aspect of the event was the Kalayaan Job Fair, which brought together 51 businesses with 3,563 job opportunities both domestically and abroad.  The occasion embodied the authentic essence of Kalayaan—empowerment via opportunity—with the mall crowded with candidates waiting in line with resumes in hand.
