Sony Philippines Unveiled WH-1000XM6 in a Grand celebration of Sound, Style, and Innovation



The much-anticipated release of the WH-1000XM6, the most recent iteration of Sony's market-leading noise-canceling headphone line, put Sony Philippines front and center.  Redefining what it means to listen in style, the immersive event, which took place at the Glorietta Activity Center, brought together tech aficionados, music fans, fashion-forward creators, and lifestyle influencers for a full day of celebration.

With products that combine performance, creativity, and lifestyle, Sony, which is well known throughout the world for its unwavering quest for innovation, keeps pushing the limits of audio technology.  President and Managing Director of Sony Philippines, Mr. Shuhei Sugihara, emphasized Sony's global focus on creating technology that improves daily life during the introduction.  Sony is a firm that specializes in creative entertainment as well as retail products.  Along with reiterating Sony's commitment to combining innovation and entertainment to produce goods and experiences that appeal to emotions.

Followed by Mr. Kentaro Imamura, Marketing Director of Sony Philippines, who focused on the design philosophy behind the WH-1000XM6. Both executives highlighted the WH-1000XM6 as a product that meets the needs of modern users–offering not just sound performance, but comfort, intelligence, and style.

The WH-1000XM6: A New Benchmark in Personal Audio

The flagship device of the launch was the Sony WH-1000XM6, the most recent iteration of the company's well-known 1000X series.  The award-winning A-Team dance squad, renowned for their accuracy and captivating stage presence, kicked off the ceremonial unveiling with a high-energy dance performance as they unveiled a life-size installation of the WH-1000XM6 headphone.  They were introduced to a product that combines the best noise cancellation in the business with immersive sound quality and improved ergonomics.  Built for today's on-the-go professionals, producers, and music lovers, the WH-1000XM6 boasts a longer 30-hour battery life, adaptive sound management, and a slimmer, lighter design.

A Celebration of Music and Creative Expression

The evening had a vibrant program that skillfully combined fashion and music, in addition to the technical introduction.  FuMi, a Japanese influencer and artist, energised the audience with a captivating performance to kick off the festivities.

The soulful alt-R&B style of Syd Hartha, who came after him, produced a more reflective atmosphere with songs like "Damdamin" and "Tila-tala."  Her performance was accompanied by the first fashion section, which featured a relaxed, indie-inspired collection that mirrored her expressive, easygoing attitude.

Later on in the show, Barbie Almalbis sang well-known OPM songs like "When I Met You" and "Overdrive."  Her performance set the tone for a fashion section that featured vintage silhouettes, bold prints, and throwback denim, all of which were influenced by early 2000s alt-pop bands.  It served as a reminder that sound and style can work well together for all ages.

Lola Amour's energetic performance, which included songs like "Dance with My Mistakes," "Misbehave," and their award-winning single "Raining in Manila," was the last act. Their youthful and lively sound was a perfect fit for the fashion show collection's finale, which was a funk, groove-filled exhibition of daring, expressive looks by famous stylist Thian Rodriguez.  The design decisions complemented Sony's advertising slogan: The WH-1000XM6 seamlessly combines style and performance.

Everyday Experiences with the WH-1000XM6

Aiyana Perlas moderated a part of interviews with prominent figures like Janina Manipol, Iggy Miranda, James Deakin, Coach Abby Maravilla, Syd Hartha, and Lola Amour, which added depth to the show.  The WH-1000XM6 was discussed as becoming more than simply a set of headphones; it has become a vital component of their way of life.

Meanwhile, artists syd hartha and Lola Amour praised the WH-1000XM6 for its studio-grade clarity, sharing how it helps them stay in tune with creativity–whether performing, producing, or simply finding inspiration in quiet moments.

Testimonials from creators such as Jude Tech Talk, Duekneel, Sophia Camero, and Joaquin Tiu provided more insight, particularly about the WH-1000XM6's long-term use comfort, usability, and dual purpose as functional technology and a personal statement.  Their findings demonstrated how strongly the product appeals to a wide range of consumers in the fields of music, fashion, and content production.

In order to finish the experience, visitors were asked to investigate a number of interactive stations.  Attendees could test the WH-1000XM6's adaptive capabilities in real time at the Touch & Try Booth, while brand engagement and interactivity were further enhanced by activity areas like the DIY Case Customization Booth, Blind Vendo Machine, and Claw Game.  In order to establish a concrete link between the product and the whole experience, prizes included special Sony goods and merchandise.  Bring the brand's For the Music story full circle, guests stayed into the evening to enjoy free-roam access to experience zones and carefully crafted Sony music mixes.




The Sony WH-1000XM6 costs PHP 27,999.00 and is currently offered countrywide at all Sony Centers and authorized merchants.  In terms of both appearance and function, it redefines what customers may anticipate from high-end headphones by providing exceptional sound and seamless lifestyle integration.

Sony Philippines recently hosted an exclusive launch event at the Batangas Racing Circuit last January 22, 2025, that brought together photographers, videographers, and tech enthusiasts to witness the highly anticipated debut of the Sony α1 II and the FE 28-70mm F2 G Master lens (SEL2870GM). The event celebrated Sony’s relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence, solidifying its status as a trailblazer in the imaging industry.

The event featured two renowned guest speakers, Sherard Yu and Benjo Cabarro, who captivated the audience with dynamic demonstrations of the α1 II and SEL2870GM in action. Their sessions highlighted the incredible capabilities of these products across both videography and photography, showcasing Sony’s commitment to empowering creators with cutting-edge tools.

Sherard Yu’s Video Demo: A Showcase of Precision and AI Power

Sherard Yu, a Sony Alpha Professional, delivered a thrilling video demonstration using the α1 II. Highlighting its AI-driven real-time tracking and high-resolution 8K video capabilities, Sherard captured breathtaking footage of race cars performing precision drifting and donut tricks. The demo showcased the camera’s ability to deliver cinematic-quality results in fast-paced and dynamic scenarios. From seamless tracking to vibrant detail, the α1 II proved its mettle as a game-changing tool for professional videographers.

Benjo Cabarro’s Action-Packed Photo Session

Renowned sports and motorsports photographer Benjo Cabarro took center stage to demonstrate the prowess of the α1 II and SEL2870GM lens in high-speed action photography. Through dynamic shots of motorsports, Benjo emphasized the camera’s exceptional 50.1MP sensor and a lightning-fast focus together with the lens’ exceptional sharpness and bokeh. His tips for freezing motion and creating depth in action-packed shots inspired the audience, showcasing how these tools redefine the possibilities of sports photography.
