The event, held last December 3 at the Prime Hotel in Quezon City, was led by celebrity mom and passionate cook Marian Rivera-Dantes, who is also Mega Prime’s brand ambassadress and will continue to accompany moms and kitchen enthusiasts in their cooking journey following the renewal of her partnership with Mega prime. Joining her was Chef Hazel Añonuevo, or more popularly, Hazel Cheffy, a TikTok influencer known for drool-worthy recipes and clever cooking techniques.

This Kitchen Masterclass also serves as a platform of encouragement for everyone who is passionate about cooking, whose cooking abilities may want to be further expanded, or who simply wants to enjoy the moments created by the cooking experience.  So to make this holiday masterclass extra special, Mega Prime widened its list of invitees to include not just moms, but anyone and everyone who had a love for great cooking. This was evident in the excitement and buzz among in-person and online attendees.

The event started with a Q&A with the media, followed by brand talks and Marian’s partnership renewal. After this, it was time for Marian and Hazel Cheffy to take everyone through another learning experience.

 

Marian demonstrated her skills in creating a Creamy Macaroni Salad and Fruit Trifle, a simple, easy, and healthy recipe using Mega Prime Tropical Fruit Cocktail that can definitely add color to any holiday spread. She expertly showed everyone how easy it was to put together, while also dispensing holiday tips and sharing her gratitude for her long-term relationship with Mega Prime.

For more experienced cooks and those who want to level up their cooking game, Hazel Cheffy showed how to create Fish Fillet with Christmas Salsa, an elaborate and sumptuous Noche Buena dish made as well with Mega Prime Tropical Fruit Cocktail.  She interactively explained the steps of creating the holiday dish and even shared some video creation tips for those who want to share their cooking skills on social media.

To help Filipino mothers level up their cooking skills, Mega Prime held its first-ever Prime Mom Club: Kitchen Masterclass event last Saturday, May 28 with “Cooking Ina” Chef Hazel and The Pro Chef Gerick Manalo. The Mets Place in Makati was abuzz with excitement as eager moms checked out the colorful mini booths overflowing with everyone’s favorite Mega products. More moms joined the event virtually.

Chef Hazel introduced moms to Kusina Speak, a super interesting session that covered the basics of cooking, sauce making, and plating. The segment helped moms understand terms that will make them even better cooks – cooking terms such as searing, pan frying, saute, deep frying, and the like.  This was followed by “Ready, Set, Salang,” where Chef Hazel skillfully applied the cooking terms into an actual dish–Corn Chowder with Pan-Seared Chicken.

Adding to the enthusiasm of the audience, Chef Gerick then wowed the moms with more advanced cooking techniques and his cooking demo of a mouth-watering Herb & Garlic-Crusted Salmon with Truffle Bechamel Sauce – a tasty and healthy dish that he then plated to perfection.

For added fun and challenge, the moms were grouped into teams of 10, each team competing with one another for the best replication of Chef Hazel’s and Chef Gerick’s dishes. The chefs, of course, served as the judges. Quality, brand-new kitchenware was awarded to the members of the winning teams.

Also virtually present at the event was Prime Mom Club brand ambassador Marian Rivera who gamely welcomed the moms with some inspirational words that added to the positive vibe of the event.

Mega Prime and Prime Mom Club help mothers have a Paskong Easy Sarap with its holiday workshop

There’s no better time to go all out in celebration than Christmas. With family members coming together to celebrate what is the most loved holiday of the year, our Prime Moms are always looking forward to making it the most memorable celebration ever. 

All over the world, it is known that the way we celebrate Christmas in the Philippines is truly unique, and some may say that Paskong Pinoy is the best. As such, we want to help make Filipino moms shine even brighter this season by going back to our roots by creating twists on well-loved Pinoy handa and decor. Mega Prime and Prime Mom Club made this happen by organizing the Paskong Easy Sarap workshop, which offered moms new recipes and a DIY holiday decor that will surely make for a memorable Christmas.

Stepping out of the kitchen for a bit, guests exchanged utensils for craft materials as they made their own parol with the help of workshop master, Ian Santos. Guests proudly showed off their finished stars to be hung at their homes, adding more to the holiday vibe.

As a way to connect with one another while also reminding our moms that it's important to care for themselves, guests were encouraged to interact with all that was in store for them. They had a blast with trivia games and other interactive game booths

Leading the event was the Prime Mom Club’s honorary member and Mega Prime’s brand ambassador, Marian Rivera Dantes, who spoke about the importance of bonding with fellow moms through shared passions such as cooking, which are good for one’s well being especially during this pandemic. 

Mega Prime and the Prime Mom Club have organized a one-of-a-kind virtual glamping event that allowed moms to relax and bond with fellow moms. The session, entitled All About Mom, pampered moms by giving them some me-time to relax while learning alongside their peers who share their cares and interests. With fun activities that are all about you, mga Mommies! Different from the past Prime Mom Club workshops, a virtual glamping session, the perfect relaxation hotspot for our Prime Moms was created. 

A learning home tablescape styling hosted by Pinky Tobiano topped off with a cooking segment using Mega Prime Oyster Sauce and Canned Fruits. The online event was attended by members of the Prime Mom Club, Mega Prime’s exclusive club for moms who want to continuously elevate their homemaking skills.

Chef Rosebud Benitez unveiled special recipes using Mega Prime Choices Oyster Sauce. She also whipped up scrumptious desserts using Mega Prime’s Canned Fruits. 

Together with Mommy Connh Cruz, the winner of The Search for the Next Prime Mom, both of them participated in an online cook-off and shared some practical cooking tips and ideas.
