Ajinomoto Philippines Launches the World of Ajinomoto PH, an Immersive Tour Through Food Science, Innovation, and Quality

Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) is offering its Bulacan facility the World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour, an entertaining and educational experience that takes visitors on a journey through the science, innovation, and people behind the globally pioneering and well-known seasonings brand. 

This thoughtfully planned tour highlights the discovery of umami, the first basic taste, the science and history of monosodium glutamate (MSG), and the development of APC as a dependable flavor enhancer used by Filipino chefs and food connoisseurs for more than 65 years.

A closer look at how Ajinomoto goods are manufactured, packaged, stored, and distributed in the Philippines with strict quality standards and environmentally friendly practices is provided by the World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour. To help visitors comprehend the rich, savory flavor that elevates many of the brand's products, a sensory experience of umami was created.

Free for all interested goers, the World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour is part of APC’s efforts in contributing to the Ajinomoto Group’s 2030 Roadmap, aiming to help extend a healthy life expectancy for 2 billion people and reduce their environmental impact by 50%. 

The World of Hygiene greets the tour patrons as they enter the factory premises as it is imperative that everyone washes their hands as they enter. 

Opening the Bulacan plant to the public, according to APC President Daizaburo Koga, is a response to ongoing and expanding requests from students, educators, organizations, and community groups looking for opportunities for experiential learning and meaningful knowledge-building. It has been offering simple factory tours to college and high school students in recent years.

The World of Ajinomoto PH includes the “World of Innovation”, which is the production building of all the dried goods. 

The World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour offers a chance to showcase APC's dedication to advancing sustainability, nutrition, and wellness. Initiatives like I Love Veggielicious®, which promotes eating more vegetables, BawAsin®, which encourages consuming less salt without sacrificing flavor, and the factory's switch to 100% renewable energy and the installation of a ground-breaking 40-foot Electric Vehicle (EV) tractor head and trailer wing van for sustainable logistics all reflect these core focuses.

Products are carefully tracked, sorted, and prepared for delivery in the World of Chambers. Operating under a precise and coordinated system, the warehouse places safety as its utmost priority.

Products are delivered by the EV truck from the factory to the logistic hubs for redistribution and delivered to various sales stations. 

The charging station Powers the EV truck and can fully charge the vehicle in an hour and a half. 

The World of Ajinomoto PH Factory Tour is open every Tuesday and Thursday, with tour sessions available in the morning at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and afternoon, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Each tour session requires at least 15 participants to proceed while special arrangements can also be made for larger groups with advance notice.
