Payoneer Celebrates International Women's Month with First-Ever WOMENtrepreneurs Meetup in Manila

Payoneer, the world’s leading cross-border payments platform hosted their very first Payoneer WOMENtrepreneurs Meetup: Connect with women leading the Philippines outsourcing sector event at WeWork Menarco Tower in Bonifacio Global City as part of the International Women’s Month celebration.

The Payoneer WOMENtrepreneurs Meetup kicked-off through an announcement of the company’s new Country Manager for the Philippines, Monique Avila.

Female BPO leaders who shared their experiences and provided helpful guidance on how women can continue to thrive in the outsourcing sector made the event full of in-depth learning opportunities. It also became a great way for women entrepreneurs to network, learn from one another, and get valuable advice on how to get past obstacles and succeed in the business world.

Tech-driven solutions are helping bridge women's employment gap. At the first Payoneer WOMENtrepreneurs Meetup, Gina Romero, Founder of Connected Women, shared insights on how technology and social responsibility can enable women to be gainfully employed. The panel discussion was led by Marge Aviso, CEO of Telework Philippines, Vanessa Janssen who is the President of Guerilla Staffing Solutions, and the founder and CEO of ScaleExperts, Pam Baluyo. All of them were able to address how they became the female leaders they are today and they discussed the importance of taking space and thriving as a woman in the business industry.
