Kathryn Bernardo reveals the trusted partner that keeps her ganado on busy days

Kathryn Bernardo enjoying a cup of the mas pinasarap na tamang timpla of Great Taste White coffee.

According to the actress, she always begins her day with her favorite coffee, Great Taste White, which has been revamped to be more creamy, at the same time, more pinasarap.

Even if their lives appear dazzling, celebrities have everyday routines.  Events, early call times, tense moments on set—the list is endless.  And, like us, they require a morning boost to get through a hectic day.

Actress Kathryn Bernardo's day would not be the same without coffee.  A nice cup of coffee keeps her energized throughout the day, whether she's easing into the morning or preparing for a very hectic schedule.  Her preferred?  Great Taste White, that's what.

A more exciting timpla of her favorite coffee

In a recent interview, Kathryn expressed her excitement at the discovery that Great Taste White's tamang timpla, which she has always enjoyed, is now much more delightful.  The actress also remarks that the new blend is more ma-kape and creamy.

“Nakakatuwa na the brand also improved! Masarap na dati [pero] in-improve pa ngayon to cater all ages, my age, yung lahat. Ang Great Taste White ngayon, mas creamy at mas ma-kape. So, mas pinasarap pa yung tamang timpla niya.
Parang may ka-partner ako parati, especially with my line of work, it's very busy. It's important na mayroon kang something na tutulong sa 'yo para magawa mo yung mga tasks mo for that day. Siguro for me, pag sa taping or sa shooting, I need something to keep me awake so that I can give it my all.
Kasi [ako], [gusto ko yung] tamang timpla ng coffee—not too sweet, not too strong. [Kung] kailangan mo yung tamang timpla, I think yung brand na Great Taste White mabibigay yun sa lahat ng consumers natin. More than anything, I think, bigyan lang ng chance, subukan. And then I'm sure na kapag masubukan mo, hanap-hanapin mo siya. ~Kathryn Bernardo

Keeping her ganado every day

Kathryn says that since including the reformulated Great Taste White into her daily routine, she feels more energized to start each day than ever before.  The actress claims that because she is not a morning person, it has turned into a dependable "partner" on hectic days.

Giving the new Great Taste White a try

For Kathryn, the new Great Taste White has the right balance, which makes all the difference. And this is also the reason coffee lovers should give it a try.

Try the new Great Taste Whites mas ma-kape, mas creamy, at mas pinasarap na tamang timpla. Lipat na sa mas pinasarap na Great Taste White!

Mondelēz International: Where SHE Leads policies, flexible work, and equal caregiver benefits drive inclusion in the workplace

SHE LEADS THE RIGHT WAY. (from L to R) Mondelēz International’s Plant Director Tanya Lim, Managing Director Aleli Arcilla, and General Counsel Mae Corona guide the organization's journey towards its mission to empower people to snack right.

Mondelēz International in the Philippines is committed to fostering an inclusive working culture.  That commitment can be seen not only in legislation, but also in the people who are leading the way.

Across the business, women are now in positions that were formerly held by men. Aleli Arcilla, the organization's first woman country leader, serves as Managing Director.  Attorney Mae Corona serves as General Counsel, offering strategic assistance throughout the organization.  Tanya Lim, the company's first female Plant Lead, handles manufacturing operations.  Their presence in these positions is not symbolic; it is the outcome of a workplace culture that empowers leaders based on talent rather than gender.

TRAILBLAZER. Managing Director Aleli Arcilla leads the organization as the first female managing director of Mondelēz International in the Philippines.

“Growing up, I didn’t think gender was a barrier. But when I entered sales, I realized how often women were left out of the conversations that matter. There’s a bias that once women become mothers, they’re no longer as committed to their roles. That’s simply not true. Mondelēz International culture recognizes that each person brings something unique. Flexible work, caregiver benefits, and equal leave policies create an environment where people—especially women—don’t have to choose between family and career. That’s what makes the difference. Find your voice. You deserve to be in the room as much as anyone else. And when you’re in that room, don’t forget to help others walk through the door, too. ~Aleli Arcilla, Managing Director

Mondelēz International's commitment to inclusiveness is deeply embedded in its structures and procedures.  Workplace flexibility is embedded in the culture, with hybrid arrangements and personal leaves that promote both collaboration and balance.  Parental leave policies go beyond compliance by providing comprehensive benefits for single parents and caregivers, regardless of family structure or birth method.

“For me, the work flexibility at Mondelēz International is priceless. The company has found a good balance between allowing employees to come to the office to meaningfully connect with colleagues and being able to work from home. Like everyone else, I rose from the ranks—starting as a Junior Associate in a law firm, then moving to an in-house role 14 years ago. Becoming the Head of Legal for a multination company had always been my target role, so I kept my eyes on the prize. Everything starts at home. Allowing my daughter to see me in a key position—while still growing and learning every day—matters most to me. Gender doesn’t matter as much as technical skills, emotional intelligence, and authenticity. That’s what leadership is built on.” ~Attorney Mae Corona, General Counsel

Corona’s journey to leadership was defined by clarity of purpose.

Lim’s path was similarly driven by curiosity and commitment. But early on, being heard was a challenge.

Tanya Lim, Plant Lead

“I’ve always had an interest in how things work. Engineering was a natural choice, and from there it became a career. In my earlier days, the issue was getting people to listen. Over time, I proved my capability to lead. The plant runs 24 hours a day and issues don’t follow schedule. Working remotely isn’t an option for my specific role. Mondelēz International has given me equal opportunity and fair treatment, and I’m very grateful for that. I want to keep growing talent and helping others unlock their potential. I also see myself as proof that women can lead in any field they choose. Learn as much as you can and value every experience. Tap into your perseverance and grit—because in this field, problems can be solved, and skills can be learned. What sets you apart is your mindset. ~Tanya Lim, Plant Lead

More recently, she faced a different kind of balancing act—one shared by many working mothers. What helped, Lim says, is a culture that genuinely values inclusion.

This culture of inclusivity is not limited to gender. Employees with diverse identities and orientations are supported by frameworks that promote fairness, safety, and respect. From mentoring programs to succession planning, the organization makes leadership development inclusive by design.

EYE ON THE PRIZE. Atty. Mae Corona had the ultimate career ambition of one day becoming a legal head of a global organization which she has now realized as the General Counsel of Mondelēz International.

And for the next generation of women in the workplace, these leaders aim to model what’s possible.

Their advice to young women: Stay curious, stay grounded, and stay resilient.

Mondelēz International in the Philippines is to create a workplace where all employees, regardless of gender or background, may contribute and achieve by building systems that meet their requirements.

6 Must-Try Filipino Dishes to serve this Independence Day at SM

How can the country best celebrate its independence?  Through food, the language that all Filipinos can comprehend.

Let your taste buds sing the national anthem on June 12 as the nation raises its flags with delicacies that highlight our rich heritage, resiliency, and unity.  Your Araw ng Kalayaan feast would be complete with these must-try foods from SM Center Sangandaan, SM City Grand Central, and SM City Valenzuela, which range from chilled desserts that remix tradition to comfort food with ancestral origins.

These six Filipino recipes make Lasang Pinoy proud, whether you're a gastronomic rebel, a history aficionado, or simply in the mood for something filling and regional.  Malaysian Lasang.

1. Sinigang na Hipon from Giligan’s, SM Center Sangandaan. Nothing screams "home" louder than a hot bowl of sinigang. With its signature sourness, shrimp, and a healthy serving of kangkong, okra, and eggplant, it’s the kind of dish that brings people together—rain or shine. Whether you’re team sabawan or team kanin overload, Giligan’s Sinigang at SM Center Sangandaan promises the perfect tang to tickle your taste buds.

2. Kare-Kare from Giligan’s, SM Center Sangandaan. No Filipino gathering is complete without this peanutty wonder. Made with oxtail, tripe, and vegetables simmered in a rich peanut sauce, kare-kare is best enjoyed with bagoong on the side (and yes, extra rice is non-negotiable). Try the one from Giligan’s and let that hearty flavor hug you this June 12.

3. Sisig from Giligan’s, SM Center Sangandaan. Crunchy, chewy, spicy, and savory—Sisig is the unofficial anthem of every Pinoy barkadahan. At Giligan’s, their take is grilled to perfection, chopped fine, and topped with onions, chilies, and chicharon for that extra crunch. Pair it with rice or pulutan-style with your favorite drink and hear the sizzle that signals one thing: you're about to feast like a true Filipino.

4. Sizzling Pompano sa Gata from Kuya J’s, SM City Valenzuela. If independence had a flavor, this would be it—bold, creamy, and full of life. Kuya J’s Sizzling Pompano sa Gata is an ode to the country’s love affair with coconut milk and seafood. The pompano is fried just right, laid over sizzling vegetables, and blanketed with rich coconut sauce that’s both indulgent and healthy. A win for seafood lovers and guilt-free eaters alike.

5. Crispy Pork Belly from Mesa, SM City Grand Central. Golden, glorious, and unapologetically indulgent. Crispy Pork Belly is a deep-fried pork dish that’s juicy on the inside and wickedly crunchy on the outside. It's a guaranteed showstopper on any dining table. For a crispy pork belly that delivers on every bite, get yours at Mesa in SM City Grand Central.

6. Bebang Halo-Halo, SM City Grand Central and SM City Valenzuela. No Pinoy meal is complete without a cold treat—and Bebang Halo-Halo is here to serve dessert with drama. Forget the typical layering. Bebang hides its prized leche flan at the bottom, giving you a creamy finale after a mix of macapuno, nata, langka, and more premium ingredients. Topped with cloud-like shaved frozen milk, it's been likened to Korean bingsu by TikTokers for good reason. Find Bebang’s best-selling Presidential Halo-Halo (P168) at SM City Valenzuela and SM City Grand Central.

So on Independence Day, taste your freedom instead of merely waving your flag.  More than just food, these six dishes tell stories of celebration, culture, and resiliency via their gastronomic forms.  Discover Philippine flavors by visiting SM Center Sangandaan, SM City Grand Central, and SM City Valenzuela.
